Eight Cracking Easter Promotions We Loved This Weekend

As one of the busiest trading periods of the year, the long Easter weekend is a huge deal for retailers, both on the highstreet and online, and the late falling of Easter this year presented the perfect opportunity to lure consumers away from their winter coats with new spring and summer offerings.

When it came to online Easter promotions, many brands didn’t disappoint with their social and email campaigns (most coming with a hefty dose of egg-related punnery). Here’s our roundup of the best:  


Online fashion retailer Boohoo.com got in there early last Wednesday, offering a tempting next-day delivery deal for those organised enough to be planning their Easter outfits in advance.


Next got colourful in its menswear department with a mailout offering guys some advice on going crazy with colour blocking for the bank holiday weekend.


Interflora was out to give people a spring in their step with a colourful ‘Easter Inspiration’ Pinterest board. Lovely.

Hotel Chocolat

Given that Easter provides a fantastic excuse for consuming more chocolate than you really should, it's unsurprising that chocolate retailers went all out to promote their Easter wares. We loved Hotel Chocolat’s Easter efforts this year, involving a clever online/offline competition revolving around the mysterious and dapper ‘Beau Bunny’, as well as the launch of a brand new Easter egg for the occasion.  


Oasis offered some spring weekend fashion advice to those signed up to its newsletter, with three beautiful Easter outfit suggestions (no advice for getting rid of pesky chocolate stains though, unfortunately).


Hand-crafted furniture specialist Swoon used the opportunity to wish customers a happy Easter with a discount voucher (as well as a chance to covet some of its beautiful furniture).


Missguided took seasonal puns to a whole new level with their ‘Fashioneaster’ campaign, offering customers and would-be customers a series of four different promotions - one for each day of the long weekend.

And finally… New Look

Lastly, full marks for creativity go to New Look, with its cute Vine wishing followers a very happy Easter
